It’s coming to High Street Kensington this spring
After opening branches in Singapore (in 2015) and NYC (in 2022), Padi is opening a third branch (and first in Europe) in London this April. Authentic halal Singaporean Malay comfort food is the name of the game at Padi, and though we don’t have a full menu yet, we’re being promised dishes like beef rendang, satay, mee rebus, ayam lemak chilli padi, lontong, nasi padang and nasi ambeng.
According to Singapore restaurant’s IG account, it does the best nasi ambeng – that’s a sharing platter of rice, beef rendang, sambal prawn, stir fried long bean with tofu, chicken in spicy coconut gravy, potato cutlet and more – in the city, so we’re intrigued to see if the London version can match up.
