Everyone in the borough must check old tickets in order to avoid a financial disaster

A South Londoner has less than a month to claim their £10 million lottery winnings – otherwise they lose it. It’s according to the National Lottery’s unclaimed prizes page, which shows the location of the unclaimed ticket, and how much is owed.

The lucky winner the London Borough of Bexley is owed a solid £10,633,323 from the Match 6 game, where the player matches six numbers between one and 59. But they have until April 2 to claim their prize or else they’ll lose it.

Elsewhere two separate people in South Gloucestershire and Bournemouth are owed £1million each, while someone is Wales 7is owed £112,091,00. In Gloucestershire, Bournemouth, and Broxbourne, three separate people are also owed £1million each.

When a prize is not claimed within six months of the victory, it and its interest goes to benefit National Lottery Projects across the UK.

How to claim

National Lottery Claiming depends on whether you’ve won online, or via a retail product such as a scratch card. If you’ve been playing online and won up to £30,000 you can claim it in-app.

All you need to do is confirm the card that is linked to your account by following the instructions in your winning message. This must be done before 11pm on the last day of the claim period.

But if you’ve won big bucks, which in this case is over £30,000 then you need to ring 0333 234 44 33. Things are slightly different for those playing via retail products.
