Polish parcel locker firm InPost acquired UK rival Yodel last year in a deal worth £100 million, creating one of Britain’s largest logistics groups.
InPost, which has more than 12,000 parcel lockers in the UK, agreed to acquire 95.5% of Yodel’s parent company, Judge Logistics Ltd, in the deal, with PayPoint retaining its existing 4.5% minority stake.
Acquiring Yodel, which handles more than 190 million parcels every year, will see InPost’s share of the UK market grow to around 8%, making it the third-largest independent logistics firm in the UK, behind only Royal Mail and Evri (excluding Amazon).
InPost UK’s chief executive, Neil Kusche, said: “This acquisition is a game-changer for InPost’s operations in the UK.
“Combining doorstep deliveries with our unrivalled locker network, we are reshaping the future of parcel delivery.
“We will be able to provide customers and e-commerce retailers with the reliability, flexibility, and efficiency they expect.”
How will the Yodel phase out affect UK deliveries?
Yodel is already part of the “InPost family”, with the two delivery companies having worked together since 2024.
The joint venture offers customers a “locker-to-door” service in which Yodel handles the delivery of parcels from InPost lockers to customers’ homes.

Once the Yodel brand has been phased out, InPost will look to offer “online shoppers a greater number of delivery options”, according to The Times .
“InPost is also planning to provide a guarantee that goods will arrive at lockers within 48 hours of being ordered,” the news outlet added.
Yodel ranked worst delivery company in the UK
Yodel, based in Liverpool, was voted as the worst delivery company in the UK for 2025 in the Citizens Advice annual Parcels League Table.
The table ranks the five major delivery companies (Royal Mail, Amazon Logistics, DPD, Evri, and Yodel) based on four factors:
- Customer service
- Delivery
- Accessibility
- Trust
Yodel was last in every category, apart from accessibility, and recorded an overall score of 2 stars (out of 5).
