The disgusting sex attacker admitted he got an ‘adrenaline rush’ from the offences, including targeting three women on one day

A serial London Underground flasher exposed himself and masturbated in front on lone women because he “felt like it”. Matheus Prestes, 30, was jailed for eight months for the spree of disgusting exposures which all happened on the Bakerloo line.

He pleaded guilty to eight counts of exposure at a court hearing in November, before being sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on February 13. Prestes would always target women who were travelling alone on the Tube on the Bakerloo line.

He would expose his genitalia at them, even masturbating in front of them on some occasions. He admitted that he offended because he “felt like doing it”, telling officers the adrenaline rush motivated his repeated behaviour.

BTP Sergeant James Ashby said: “Prestes repeatedly targeted women on the London Underground in deliberate and predatory acts. His behaviour was disturbing, persistent, and entirely unacceptable. It is down to these brave women reporting these incidents that we were able to piece together his spree of offending and put him behind bars.“This sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions. Passengers can be reassured that we will always take reports of sexual offences seriously, act quickly to identify offenders, and work tirelessly to bring them before the courts.

At around 7pm on June 21 last year, Prestes stepped off a Bakerloo line train at Baker Street, stood on the platform, and exposed himself while staring at a woman sat on board the train. This was the serial flashers first reported attack, say police.

Only days later, on June 25, he once again again exposed himself and began masturbating in front of another woman on a southbound Bakerloo line service. When she told him she was reporting his actions to the police, he quickly got off the train at Edgware Road.On July 6, at around 6pm, Prestes targeted another lone woman on a Bakerloo line service near Kenton. After exposing himself on board the train, he got off, stood on the platform, and stared at her while masturbating. Then, on August 5, he walked along a Tube carriage before he exposed himself to a woman near Lambeth North. Later that month, on Friday August 22, another woman reported that Prestes had exposed himself to her between Oxford Circus and Waterloo before masturbating in her eyeline and leaving the train. On October 11, Prestes he targeted three women in a day, again on Bakerloo line trains. On each occasion he exposed himself to a lone woman and immediately got off the train. BTP officers identified Prestes as the man responsible for the series of offences, and he was arrested.

Anyone who experiences or witnesses a sexual offence on a train or at a station, can report it by texting 61016. In an emergency, always call 999.
