Production photos have been released for Broken GlassArthur Miller’s intense and unsettling psychological drama, now in previews at the Young Vic. Directed by Olivier Award nominee Jordan Fein, the revival opens on 3 March 2026 and runs until 18 April as part of Artistic Director Nadia Fall’s inaugural season.

The production stars Nancy Carroll as Margaret Hyman, Pearl Chanda as Sylvia Gellburg, Juliet Cowan as Harriet, Eli Gelb as Phillip Gellburg, Alex Waldmann as Dr Harry Hyman and Nigel Whitmey as Stanton Case.

Premiering in 1994, the play went on to win the Olivier Award for Play of the Year and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. This marks its first major London staging in fifteen years.

Set in Brooklyn in 1938, the story follows Sylvia Gellburg, who becomes consumed by news of violent antisemitic attacks unfolding in Germany. As her fixation deepens, she suddenly loses the ability to walk, a condition her husband Phillip insists is imagined. Her growing bond with Dr Hyman exposes cracks in Sylvia and Phillip’s marriage, as the play unpicks fear, silence and emotional repression against the backdrop of rising global tension.

Jordan Fein returns to the Young Vic following the theatre’s groundbreaking reimagining of Oklahoma! and his critically acclaimed production of Into the Woods.

The creative team includes set designer Rosanna Vize, costume designer Sussie Juhlin-Wallén, lighting designer Adam Silverman, sound designer Tom Gibbons, movement director Kayla Lomas-Kirton and intimacy director Tommy Ross-Williams. Casting is by Julia Horan, with voice and dialect coaching by Caitlin Stegemoller. The team also features costume supervisor Lucy Martin, prop supervisor Laura Flowers, wigs, hair and make-up supervisor Kim Kasim, Jerwood assistant director Alessandra Davison, associate designer Peiyao Wang and Genesis assistant designer Afsana Begum.
