The comedian and actor appeared at Southwark Crown Court this morning (February 24).
Wearing a leopard print shirt with several buttons undone and holding a white hat, Brand spoke to confirm his name and his not guilty pleas from the dock.
Russell Brand denies two further sex offences including rape
It is the second time Brand has appeared in court to deny sexual offence charges.
He previously denied two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault in relation to alleged offences between 1999 and 2005, involving four women.
Brand last appeared in court last May to deny the above charges, before denying the latest two sexual offence charges today (February 24).
The Met Police confirmed Brand had been charged with the latest two offences in December.
A statement at the time said: “The Met has issued two new charges to Russell Brand, 50, of Oxfordshire, one count of rape and one count of sexual assault.
“These new charges are in relation to two further women and are in addition to the charges issued to Brand in April 2025, which involved four women, two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.”
Detectives began investigating the comedian in September 2023 after receiving a number of allegations, which followed reporting by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times.
The two latest charges are alleged to have taken place in London.
A court previously heard that Brand is accused of raping a woman in a hotel room while she attended a Labour Party conference in Bournemouth and grabbing a TV worker’s breasts and orally raping her after dragging her into a male toilet.
He is also alleged to have grabbed a radio station worker’s face, pushing her against a wall and kissing her before groping her breasts and buttocks.
The other charge of the original five alleges the actor indecently assaulted another woman after grabbing her forearm and attempting to drag her into a male toilet.
A trial is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court later this year, in relation to the five original charges.
