JW3 will mark 13 years with a season of music, theatre, and culture at Finchley Road, London, with a B’Mitzvah party set for June 28, from 2pm to 9pm.
The centre’s anniversary season includes several notable events, with the London Jewish Male Choir’s centenary concert kicking things off on February 22.
The following day will see Play Nice: Jewish Women & Classical Musiccombining performance and discussion to explore stories of renowned Jewish pianists.
On March 8, young performers will compete in the Battle of the Bands 2026, judged by music industry professionals, with the winning act performing at JW3’s B’Mitzvah Party in June.
The music programme wraps up on June 11 with performances from Hugo Max, featuring experimental short films on Jewish identity interwoven with live music.
In theatre, the centre will host Seder on February 17, a multimedia performance by Adam Kammerling, focusing on his grandfather’s Holocaust experience.
March will feature Sharifsharing the lives of LGBTQIA+ Palestinians, while June will start with Shadow Puppetsa song cycle on celebrity culture. The month will continue with Picking Up Stones on June 9, exploring post-October 7 grief and calls for peace.
Rainbow on Ryea night of new Jewish writing and comedic plays, will be presented by Echoes Theatre Co. on June 21. Families will also be part of the celebration, with a season full of music, movement, and storytelling.
Activities range from Tai Chi & Chai Tea on February 22, a Purim party on March 1, to a Shavuot Learn & Sing party in May. The centre also offers a variety of events for people in their 20s and 30s, from movie nights to a World Cup Final Watch Party.
Throughout the year, JW3 will provide walking tours, talks, and cinema screenings, all aimed at ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Raymond Simonson, chief executive officer of JW3, reflected on the significance of reaching 13 years, noting the centre’s growth into a “safe space” that is “proudly Jewish, open to all.”
He said: “This new season reflects that coming of age.”
