When your hair – and you – need a boost, Fusio Dose offers a simple but effective solution
Call me vain, but my long curly hair is my pride and joy. I can count on one hand the number of times it has been medium length.
But I firmly believe that health is more important than length. That’s why I devote a lot of time – and money – to it.
Clarifying shampoos, masks, regular trims… you name it, I do it all. However, I am not immune to dullness, much to my dismay, and sometimes my locks need a little boost.

And with the recent harsh weather conditions and the hard water in London, they were in desperate need of extra hydration. So I visited one of my local salons, Rush Croydon, which has just reopened after a refurbishment, to try something I’d heard a lot about: Kérastase Fusio Dose.
The latter is an in-salon treatment designed to instantly transform the health of your hair, and consists of two elements. The first is the ‘Concentré’, which targets your main concern (e.g. hydration or repair).
The second is a ‘Booster’ that addresses a secondary issue such as shine or volume. The mix is then applied after shampooing and usually replaces conditioner.
My priorities were to increase hydration and reduce frizz, so that’s the combination I went for. After washing my hair, the hairdresser applied the product to my scalp and ends, giving me a head massage in the process, which made the treatment worth it for that alone.
We then moved over to the styling station, and even though my hair was still damp, it was already ten times softer. But the real magic happened as it was getting dried.
Let me preface this by saying that I hardly ever blow-dry my hair, so I don’t consider myself an expert at it. Nevertheless, I usually manage to get my locks fairly straight and smooth.
But this blow-dry was on a whole other level. My hair was left so soft, sleek and shiny, without feeling weighed down.
Best of all, my hair remained frizz-free until my next wash a few days later, without me needing to do touch-ups with my straighteners, which I normally always have to do. The treatment (from £25 at Rush) typically lasts up to five washes, and I can’t wait to see my curls continue to flourish with hydration and definition.
And when the effects wear off, I’ll definitely treat myself to another one. Because when my hair is happy, so am I.
Rush Croydon is located at 25 George St, Croydon CR0 1LB. Find out more information about Rush and its branches here – if there are no Rush salons in your area, you can check out HARI’s Salon.
