Nick Mohammed on stage when performing 'Show Pony'

Though he may have trusted Alan Carr a little too much, Joe Marler a little too little, and David Olusoga a little too exact right amount, Nick Mohammed was a great watch this year as he reached the final of Celebrity Traitors. As the show whizzed along, though, he was busy swapping the screen for the stage as he began his Show Pony performances, which sees him reprising his character of Mr Swallow for a comedic run of gigs.

Plenty of shows on this run have been announced, but now Nick Mohammed has just gone ahead and added a one-night-only performance of Show Pony at the London Palladium on April 1, 2026. The window for April Fool pranks might have passed by the time you get to the evening, but the early swindles, whether you’re the pranker or pranked, will be merely a preview of the laughter levels you’ll be enjoying that day.

It’s not his first rodeo when it comes to Mr Swallow shows, with Show Pony following his tour of The Very Best & Worst Of Mr Swallow and his six-week run of A Christmas Carol-ish at Soho Place in 2024. The character of Mr Swallow is a magician created by Nick Mohammed based on one of his school teachers who spoke in the same manner and swallows between sentences (hence the name). As well as stage appearances, Mohammed has played Mr Swallow in television format, including recently on the Prime series, Last One Laughing.

Aside from his Mr Swallow shenanigans and The Traitors, you’ll likely recognise Nick Mohammed for his role as Nate in Ted Lassoas well as Mayor Zafar Jaffrey in Season 5 of Slow Horses and much more.
