Well, here’s yet another destination to add to your list of must-visit Christmas lights to check out in London! Adding on to the already dazzling displays found in Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, and across Central London, now Knightsbridge has also debuted some gorgeous Christmassy decorations.

The Knightsbridge Christmas lights are now glowing along Brompton Road and lighting up the neighbouring streets. At the centre of it all is a 14-metre animated cross-street banner, showing horses galloping towards the viewer amidst wintry features. Visitors can also spot further lights and illuminations on Brompton Road and Hans Crescent.

The designs draw from Knightsbridge’s impressive heritage and the distinctive architecture of some of the area’s grand buildings. The equestrian details nod to nearby Hyde Park Barracks, home to the Household Cavalry,

They haven’t just flung up the lights without thinking, though. The display is striking and sustainable, and features over 12,000 LEDS and over 3,000 recycled plastic bottles.

Tom Woolven, on behalf of The Knightsbridge Estate, comments:

“Knightsbridge is once again illuminated by its festive lights. As one of London’s leading destinations, it’s known around the world for its luxury retail, rich heritage and distinctive character. This year’s new display celebrates everything that makes the area so special and offers a warm welcome to everyone who visits – whether to shop, dine or simply soak up the festive atmosphere. It also reflects our continued investment in the neighbourhood and our commitment to making Knightsbridge an exceptional place to visit.”

The illumination of the lights marks the start of the Christmas season in this popular area of London. Stores and venues are offering special menus, discounts, gift-wrapping services, and more. Be sure to drop by on December 4 or December 6, when they’ll be offering visitors a limited-edition festive postcard from London-based artist James Oses, to mark the season. These are available for two days only, on Hans Crescent.

📍 See the Knightsbridge Christmas lights on Brompton Road each night, near Knightsbridge station.
