This ritual was performed to ensure no remnants of their haunted past linger in the space.

The former location is set to become The Sun Wharf, the newest addition to the Wetherspoons chain.

Spirits, both ghostly and alcoholic, will now have a clean slate at their respective locations.

The séance was conducted by the London Dungeon’s resident medium, who gathered all lingering phantoms and directed them to their current abode on the South Bank.

These spectres will continue to provide their chilling presence to future Dungeon guests.

The London Dungeon has been a fixture in London since 1974, initially operating as a wax exhibition depicting dark historical events.

Over time, it evolved into an interactive horror experience, staying true to its historical roots but adding a playful twist to recount the eerie tales of Victorian London.

After 39 years on Tooley Street, the London Dungeon relocated in 2013 to County Hall, South Bank, where it is now part of a larger complex of attractions, including SEA LIFE London Aquarium and Shrek’s Adventure! London.

Despite the move, the Dungeon will not let Tooley Street be completely stripped of its macabre past.

The establishment intends to donate old photographs and artefacts to keep the sinister legacy alive.

A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “For nearly 40 years, our Tooley Street location terrified and entertained visitors with chilling tales of London’s dark history.

“Our move to the South Bank has allowed us to expand our horrifying repertoire and make it one of the most infamous attractions in the capital.

“Tooley Street can rest easy now as we’ve ensured that all the ghosts have traversed the Thames to the South Bank, where historic horrors of Victorian London await.”

The cleansing was conducted on September 23, with The Sun Wharf set to open its doors on September 30.

Those interested in experiencing the horrors of the London Dungeon can book tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment.

The famed attraction continues to provide a spine-chilling glimpse into the past, ensuring a hauntingly good time for all who dare to visit.
