A large group of people at a silent disco at the Natural history museum

Dust off your spookiest costumes and prepare yourselves for a night fright at the museum, folks, because London’s legendary Natural History Museum is throwing yet another epic Halloween party. Following last year’s sellout event, the South Kensington spot is – once again – opening its doors after-hours, and inviting fans of all things frightening to step inside and experience the museum like never before.

On October 31 (the spookiest night of the year), party-goers can dance among the dinosaurs, socialise among the skeletons, and be frightened among the fossils. Oh, and its’s an adults-only event, so you can explore the museum’s fascinating galleries after-hours, without a child in sight. What more could you want from a Halloween bash, hey?

Halloween at the Museum

There will be the chance to chat to the museum‘s expert scientists who’ll be showcasing some of their strangest and spookiest specimens. And those feeling particularly brave can opt to join one of the behind-the-scenes ‘Tank Room Tours’and get up close and personal with the plethora of preserved creatures in the museum’s basement.

Once you’ve had a nosey around the museum’s nooks and crannies, it’s time to have a good old boogie. There will be a live band on hand, filling the building with music, and – of course – there will be one of the Natural History Museum’s iconic silent discos taking place, too. This year, there will also be an immersive element to the event. There will be creepy characters emerging from corners, tempting trails to follow, and a vampire ball to get involved in. It turns out that ghouls really do just wanna have fun…

Tickets for Halloween at the Museum are on sale now, with prices starting from £45 (or £40.50 for members). Find out more and plan your visit here.
