Chris Martin of Coldplay playing a show in Las Vegas

Coldplay are coming to the end of their monumental 10-night run at Wembley Stadium that has brought the Music Of The Spheres in front of thousands in the capital. Kicking off in mid-August, the band now have four shows left on the residency, but have announced that the final two shows will be rescheduled due to the Tube strikes planned for London from this Sunday (September 7) and running into the week.

As a result, the shows planned for Sunday, September 7and Monday, September 8 have now been rescheduled. Here’s what you need to know:

When are the new Coldplay dates?

If you had tickets to the show on Sunday, September 7your ticket will now be valid for the now-earlier show on Saturday, September 6. If you had tickets to see Coldplay on Monday, September 8your tickets will be valid for the now-later show on Friday, September 12. You do not need to take any action if you can still attend the show.

Speaking on their social media pages, the band said: “We’re sorry to announce that, due to planned industrial action on the London Underground, we’ve been forced to reschedule our final two concerts of the current Wembley Stadium run.

“Without a Tube service, it’s impossible to get 82,000 people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September.”

Fans who were unable to attend the new show were asked to contact the point of purchase for a refund by 12pm today (September 2), ahead of a fresh last-minute sale for spots on Ticketmaster from 11am tomorrow.

Coldplay added on their socials: “We’re very sorry for the inevitable disappointment, frustration and inconvenience that this situation causes.”

The Coldplay shows planned for tomorrow (September 3) and Thursday (September 4) are still going ahead as planned.
