Famed for her role in the iconic 90s girl group All Saintsthis iconic 90s popstar has made headlines with a dramatic career change – trading the glamour of the stage for the heat of a London pub kitchen.
She has begun working as a chef at The Londesboroughin Stoke Newingtona popular pub in north Londonwhere she’s quickly made a name for herself with her specialty burgers.
The All Saints star in question is Melanie Blatt. Blatt rose to fame in 1993 with All Saintsalongside original members Shaznay Lewis and Simone Rainfordlater joined by Nicole and Natalie Appleton. The group became one of the UK’s most successful pop acts, boasting five UK number-one singles, two multi-platinum albums, and two Brit Awards. Their hits, including “I Know Where It’s At” and “Never Ever,” sold over 10 million records worldwide.
Despite the group’s multiple reunions and a hiatus in 2022 after their fifth studio album, Blatt has continued to reinvent herself. She was the first to launch a solo career following the band’s initial split in 2001, and has since explored DJing, TV appearances – including a stint as a judge on The X Factor New Zealand – and a memorable run on Celebrity MasterChef in 2023.
Blatt’s latest venture sees her donning a chef’s apron every Tuesday at The Londesboroughwhere she serves up mouth-watering burgers paired with chunky chips. She recently expanded her residency to include Fridays, inviting fans and food lovers alike to try her creations. Her menu features slow-cooked beef and jerk chicken patties with gravy, as well as a macaroni cheese burger for vegetarians – each dish crafted from scratch, including homemade cheese sauce and patties.
Blatt announced her new role and business, FullFillingson Instagramsharing behind-the-scenes videos of her cooking process and encouraging her 109,000 followers to visit the pub. “This was the day I turned 50! I spent it cooking for the people I love. I thought it was the perfect moment to launch my new business @fullfillingsfood,” she wrote.
