One of the greatest joys in life is a dog in a pub. Whether it’s the pure elation of spotting a dog trotting its way into your local or being able to take your own furry friend along, dogs just make pubs better. The unfortunate downside is that we can’t share a round with our canine companions. Well, until now, that is. Because one London food hall is giving punters the chance to ‘split the G’ with man’s best friend thanks to the launch of ‘Doggy Guinness’.

Market Place Vauxhall is inviting fans of the black stuff to share their beloved drink with their dog. The dog-friendly drink will be available from April 11-13and your dog can try it for free!

On April 11, Market Place Vauxhall is giving away the Doggy Guinness for of charge for anyone any dogs that need a refreshment. On April 12 and 13, the Doggy Guinness will be available for free with the purchase of a regular Guinness. Two drinks for the price of one? That’s a steal of a round…

The dog-friendly Guinness is available as long as supplies last. Don’t miss out on your chance to share a beer with your pooch.

What is in the doggy Guinness?

Now, obviously, Market Place isn’t just serving up straight-up Guinness to dogs. Instead, they’ve created something that looks the part but is completely safe for dogs to drink. In the same way that a Baby Guinness shot isn’t just a shot-glass filled with Guinness, but it’s own creation, the doggy Guinness is a special recipe. The special concoction comprises a savoury doggy bone broth that is topped with cream to recreate the iconic appearance of a pint of Guinness.

Said Holly Hilton, Marketing Director at Market Place:

“Doggy Guinness isn’t just an epic treat; it’s our way of making sure your loyal pal is never left out. At Market Place, we’re all about being pet-friendly so whilst you’re enjoying your pint, your furry friend can join in on the fun too.”

You could give the concoction a try for yourself – it is safe to drink. But don’t be fooled; it tastes nothing like the real thing. We’ll stick to the proper pints of the delicious drop for ourselves and let our furry friends enjoy the dog-friendly version.

The Doggy Guinness is available at Market Place Vauxhall from April 11-13, 2025. Find out more about Market Place Vauxhall here.

📍 Find Market Place Vauxhall at 7 South Lambeth Place, SW8 1SP. The nearest station is Vauxhall.
