On top of that, TripAdvisor gave London the title of the top European destination for 2024. And now, TripAdvisor has ever so kindly crowned London the best of the best in the world for 2025 – and yes, we will happily accept (again).
So, how did TripAdvisor reach this verdict? The travel platform assessed destinations worldwide based on the volume and quality of reviews for hotels, restaurants, and attractions over a 12 month period. Out of 8 million listings, only fewer than 1% actually achieve this milestone. In its prestigious Best of the Best category, London emerged as the number one destination in the world.

The city’s energy means that no two days are the same,” said Tripadvisor, and we couldn’t agree more. There is something for everyone in the city – and no two areas are the same offering a diverse set of things to do, from exhibitions to museums to the cosiest cafes and some of the best restaurants in the world. London truly is a melting pot of culture and we’re so damn proud of it.
