There are several factors that set the Fein MM 500 apart from the competition. Unlike other oscillating multi tools, the MM 500 operates with virtually no vibration, allowing you to make precise cuts and work for longer without experiencing hand numbness. Though there is a compromise on cutting speed as a result of this excellent ease of use.

It’s also one of just a couple brands that uses Starlock, which is far superior to other blade changing systems. With Starlock, you can change attachments in just a few seconds without having to touch a hot blade.

The MM 500 also uses an on/off switch as opposed to a pressure trigger, making it more comfortable to use over longer periods. You can also change its oscillating speed on the fly thanks to a variable speed dial on the grip. We only wish it had an LED worklight, which would make it easier to use in darker places.
