A Free Lion King Exhibition Is Coming To London Over Half-Term

If you’re a fan of musicals or Disney’s legendary franchise The Lion Kingyou’re going to want to pay a visit to Battersea Power Station this February half-term.

Celebrating their 20 millionth attendee, the iconic West End musical will showcase the iconic masks, puppets and costumes in a fabulous pop-up exhibitionwhich will allow those hardcore fans to immerse themselves in the magic that has captivated audiences worldwide for over two decades.

Marvel at the intricate designs of beloved characters like Rafiki and Zazu, as well as the awe-inspiring masks of Mufasa, Simba, and Nala. It’s a rare opportunity to see these masterpiece costumes and props outside of the West End stage.

Alongside the installation, performance and vocal workshops led by Disney Teaching Artists will run throughout the week, however, these are now fully booked. You can still say There is no problem to the dreaded half-term planning if you still want to witness this must-see exhibition—which by the way is completely free-of-charge.

The exhibition will be located on the Ground Floor of Battersea Power Station in Turbine Hall A (near the Apple store).

The Lion King musical first made its dazzling debut in the late nineties over in the States, and is now in its 26th year at London’s Lyceum Theatre. There are more than 232 puppets in the show, and it’s famed for being a corner stone of immersive theatre. To get your tickets for the West End production, click here.

As for the pop-up exhibition, visit Battersea Power Station between Monday, 17 February and Sunday, 23 February. The exhibition is free to visit, but if you wish to stay in the loop with any last-minute availability for the workshops, click here.
