Robyn Brown’s recent comments referring to herself and her children as Kody Brown’s main family show why others Sister wives have decided to leave. Kody began his married journey in 1990 when he tied the knot with Meri Brown. The the couple made the decision to start a large family early onso that their children could grow up together. They expanded their family with the addition of Janelle Brown in 1993, followed by Christine Brown a year later. In May 2010, Kody entered into a spiritual marriage with his fourth wife, Robyn.
With his first three wives, Kody eventually had 13 children. Tragically, Kody and Janelle lost their son Garrison Brown in March 2024. With Robyn, who had three children from a previous marriage, Kody had two more children. In 2014, Kody legally divorced Meri to marry Robyn and become the legal father to his children. At first, all four Sister wives were really happy with the arrangement and their marriage to Kody, but things started to change when he started favoring Robyn over the others. In 2021, Christine finally decided to end the marriage, followed by Janelle and Meri.

Robyn never stops thinking
Robyn simply cannot let go of her controlling nature Robyn seemed open to the idea of polygamy at first, but her actions show that she actually prefers a nuclear family with Kody.
In his first season TLC‘s Sister wiveshe called Kody by his name “soul mate”, despite the fact that he already had three wives. He even let Kody spend quality time with him while Christine was in the hospital in labor. Although the other three Sister wives have left and Robyn is now in a monogamous relationship with Kody, he still shows domineering tendencies.
Robyn may not want Kody to have relationships with her children to maintain a sense of superiority over them. It felt inappropriate for her to call herself and her children Kody’s primary family, especially given the recent loss of Garrison and her strained relationship with her grown children, Paedon and Gabriel Brown. Robyn and Kody’s actions have caused them to become isolated from the rest of the family, leading to the end of their holiday celebrations together. Christine had hoped for a happy family despite their separation, but Robyn’s insistence on prioritizing her own family makes this even more difficult.
