I have several reasons why I believe David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan 90 day fiance are not returning to the US after recently moving to Thailand. The couple originally met in Thailand when David, who had recently divorced his first wife, was working as an English teacher. One day, he noticed Annie singing in a bar and developed feelings for her. They started dating, and eventually David proposed to Annie. Like the others 90 day fiance Viewers, I was amazed to see that Annie agreed to marry David despite his financial struggles.
David had to ask a friend for help to get Annie a K-1 visa. The couple eventually returned to the United States and married in November 2017 while documenting their trip 90 day fiance season 5. Many fans, myself included, loved David and Annie’s story, which contributed to their popularity with the franchise and financial success. I looked like David and Annie moved from a warehouse to a two-story townhouse in Fountain Hills, Arizona. They even invested money in buying real estate in Thailand.
Why did David and Annie move to Thailand?
David and Annie want dual citizenship for their daughter
After reaching several milestones together, David and Annie decided to expand their family in early 2024. I was impressed when I watched them talk openly on social media about their journey towards having a baby. Since David had a vasectomy, they could not conceive in the traditional way. Hence he had to have his sperm removedwhich allowed Annie to become pregnant through IVF treatment. In July 2024, they officially announced their pregnancy. In September 2024, I was delighted to hear that David and Annie were expecting a baby girl.

Although Annie has had many health problems during her pregnancy, she is very excited to become a mother.
Six months pregnant, she and David made another important decision. The couple announced that they wanted dual citizenship for their daughter – Thai and American – so they decided to give birth in Thailand. After a short babymoon in South Korea, they arrived in Thailand in December 2024. In the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that the couple has shared many happy pictures with Annie’s family and even visited a local doctor who will deliver the baby.
David understands the benefits of living in Thailand
David enjoys Thailand’s affordable lifestyle
It’s not David’s first time in Thailand, but he seems to be discovering once again how affordable the country is. Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen her share many updates from Thailand highlighting the low cost of living and the ability to live a luxurious life while staying healthy. I saw this recently 90 day fiance alum eagerly posts pictures of her affordable and nutritious breakfast and also mention how Thailand allows him to live an active lifestyle. David divided, “ordered the breakfast special and still hit 11,317 steps by 930am.”
David highlighted the cost of the meal, saying “breakfast was 99 Thai Baht $2.85 USD.”
I have also noticed before David share photos while enjoying a foot massage. He wrote, “The quality of life here in Thailand is incredible $3-5 an hour is incredible and makes a perfect day.” I believe David is not happy with the rising inflation in the United States and begins to realize that he could live a very comfortable or even luxurious life in Thailand. I think the low cost of living in Thailand might prevent him from coming back to America.
David and Annie are still wondering when to return to America
Why haven’t they set a return date yet?
David lived in Thailand for a long time before he met Annie. Divorced from his first wife, losing his job and accumulating debt, he moved to an Asian country to start over. There he met Annie. Although they met in Thailand, the couple decided to move to the United States so that Annie could pursue her American dream. Nevertheless they have now decided to return to Thailand for a longer period. As far as I know, Annie and David are staying in Thailand until their baby is born in March 2025.

90 Day Fiancé: Signs David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan’s Life Isn’t So Perfect Anymore (Money Issues and Thailand Trip May Be Issues)
David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan of 90 Day Fiancé seem happier in Thailand, but their reality might not be as perfect as it’s portrayed online.
I find it strange that David and Annie have not yet announced when they will return to the US.
In a recent Instagram Live broadcast, David mentioned that they are in Thailand for the baby’s birth, but did not specify how long they will be staying after the baby is born. Considering The couple finds the Asian country affordable and receives support from Annie’s familyy, I think they might make this visit a permanent change. Although David works as a real estate agent in Arizona, he is able to work remotely, which may make this arrangement permanent.
David and Annie have money problems in America
David and Annie could gain a financial advantage by living in Thailand
I have no doubt that David and Annie are one of the most iconic couples TLC‘s 90 day fiance franchise. However, I don’t think their popularity leads to financial success anymore. They have a lot of followers on social media, but they don’t pursue brand sponsorships for revenue. Annie has a clothing website, but I don’t see her promoting it widely, so I don’t think she can contribute much to the family’s income. Also, I have noticed that David and Annie no longer appear on Pillow Talk, which may have negatively affected their income.
I have noticed that David recently started working as a real estate agent in Arizona, which may indicate financial difficulties.
With the baby coming, I think they will face even more financial challenges. I also suspect that David and Annie may have had the baby in Thailand because it is much cheaper than in the US. Giving birth can be very expensive in America, especially if it is a C-section is necessary. In my opinion 90 day fiance the couple will likely try to delay their return to the United States for a while.
