While he was looking for a new apartment in New York, The Golden Bachelor‘s Joan Vassos stopped by a nursing home. Joan is engaged to Chock Chapple when they met back in the day The Golden Bachelor season 1. To make matters worse, Joan and Chock live in different states they have to fly back and forth between Maryland and Kansas just to see each otherwhich is why they want to buy a home together in New York.

The Golden Bachelor‘s Joan Vassos is back in New York looking for a new home, and she also stopped by the nursing home for a very special reason.

Joan is back in New York, still trying to find a new place that both she and Chock can call home. He also found time to visit RiverSpring Living, a retirement and assisted living center In the Bronx. However, Joan didn’t stop there because she wants to move there. Rather, she wanted to convey an inspiring message about reinventing yourself at any age. Joan posted updates on her Instagram Stories account, including the moment she met the facility’s oldest resident, a 101-year-old man named Harold, as well as speech pathologists.

Joan called the residents “the nicest group to share my journey with.” He wanted to share the message that “love can happen when you least expect it.“He included a video of his speech in which she said that as her children grew older and began their own lives apart from hers, she knew she was “it becomes less significant… so I knew I had to challenge myself to find a different life and love.”

What Joan Vassos’ heartwarming and inspiring visit to a nursing home means

Joan uses her fame for good

Joan’s main purpose while in New York was to continue her search for a new home. However, that didn’t stop her from using her new public platform to spread positivity and give hope to others that they too can find love regardless of age. The The Golden Bachelor star doesn’t hesitate to tap into the latest social media trends to create viral videos with Chock, but that doesn’t mean his newfound fame has gone to his head. her visit to the retirement facility proves that she is still a down-to-earth woman who does not hesitate to help others.

Interesting, Chock did not appear in any of the videos or photos that Joan posted about RiverSpring Living. If he was also in New York, maybe he visited with a real estate agent. It’s also possible that he was really busy back home in Kansas and couldn’t make this trip. It would have been inspiring to see both Joan and Chock speak to the nursing home residents and hear directly The Golden Bachelor a winner for her perspective on finding love at any age.

It was great to see Joan taking advantage of such a wonderful opportunity to spread hopeful messages to other seniors. Although it is unclear how many people there were actually watching The Golden Bachelorhis inspirational message can still resonate with everyone, no matter what. I hope Joan will continue such visits and use their platform to help others.
