One of the many pioneers The Golden BachelorGuy Gansert, shared a video with his favorite actors leaving out the season’s winner, Chock Chapple. Guy was one of 24 contestants competing for the leading lady’s heart. Although he and Joan had a strong connection, he was ultimately eliminated before the finale, making him the season runner-up.

Although this rejection was disappointing, Guy benefited greatly from his work The Golden Bachelor season 1. Between the substantial compensation and lifelong friends, he’s likely grateful for the opportunity. Several contestants created a “bromance” with each other. Many of these men have kept in touch since filming, but Chock seems to have made more enemies than friends. His lack of camaraderie and criticism from other contestants could indicate major red flags.

Chock wasn’t part of Bromance

Chock made no friends

At the beginning of January, Guy shared a video of him and his friends belting out the words to a popular country song. He and the other Bachelor The alums enjoy the process as they stifle laughter and struggle for words. Men presented are e.g.

Although the singing challenge features some popular names, Chock was nowhere to be seen. Chock received criticism for his work The Golden Bacheloras he eagerly pursues Joan and creates tension among the men. The competition was a great opportunity for networking and building bonds, as the men shared a common space and hours together. However, his no-nonsense behavior led some critics to believe that Chock could be difficult to get along with.

Chock’s actions were strongly criticized

Chock didn’t make many friends in the series. While the other contestants relished the opportunity to spend the holidays with like-minded people, Chock sought Joan’s attention. Winning the competition may be the ultimate goal, but damaged relationships aren’t necessary to win. His presence may have left a bad taste in others’ mouths. One event in particular raised questions about his authenticity.

On group bowling dates where the men had to share Joan’s attention, Chock monopolized her time. Several contestants complained about his behavior. The men thought Chock owned Joan and limited love bombing.

By WebMD, “Love bombing is an intense display of affection and attention used to manipulate or control someone and is often seen in abusive relationships.”

His actions shocked Pascal, the last man in Guy’s video, to mention the events in an interview Glamour magazine. At the interviewer’s prompting, Pascal claimed, “Chock was on him to the point where he was (like) a stalker.” He also hinted at ingenuity and stated that it is not so easy to fall in love as an older man. Regardless, Chock went down hard and fast.

Did Chock have bad intentions?

Although his behavior on the show may have been questionable, Chock and Joan seem to have a rare connection. After the finale and the engagement, the couple has kept their commitments. As they spend more time together and reunite their families, it becomes clear that Chock truly loves Joan.

Chock may have a harder time forming friendshipsand that’s understandable. Conditions and environment during filming The Golden Bachelor may have made the bond more frightening. Although he did not leave the experience with many friendships, Chock found the most important connection through his fiancé Joan.

The Golden Bachelor is available to stream on Hulu.
