The first trailer on the topic Marvel’s Rivals Season 1 debuts a new Fantastic Four, a new release date, and a blood-sucking Dracula.
Fans have long been waiting for more information on the first seasonal drop of NetEase Games’ new free-to-play shooter, as the game has been slowly releasing hints about where it might go next.
Since its debut, the blockbuster has received minor additional content drops (such as the ongoing Winter Event), but has avoided any major seasonal releases.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 Trailer Debuts
Waiting for that Marvel’s RivalsRelease date for the first season, the hit free-to-play shooter debuted its first trailer for a major content drop.
The minute-long sneak peek teased fans about what’s to come in the game’s first season, titled “Eternal Night Falls.” The first season seems to have a vampire theme, thanks to beloved Marvel villain Dracula.
The blood-sucking vampire took center stage in the trailer as he sought to cover the world in shadow (as one does).
While this Dracula-centric story is exciting, fans are sure to be confused by the introduction of four new characters who join Competitors‘ list of super-powered heroes during the game’s first season.
After weeks of leaks focusing on new characters, Marvel’s RivalsThe Fantastic Four made their triumphant debut in the Season 1 teaser as the beloved comic Book characters try to save New York from the darkness of Dracula’s demonic plot.
The short teaser didn’t include any gameplay, but fans will get more information about the heroes of Season 1 on Friday, January 10, as the release date approaches.

What to know heading into Marvel Rivals Season 1
Although experienced games-as-a-service players know a lot about what to expect Marvel’s Rivals Season 1, for many players this is the first time they will experience an in-game seasonal change.
Season 1 (and possible subsequent seasons) is a new content milestone for a game like Competitors. It will debut new characters, maps, and potential gameplay changes based on what the developers have learned over the past months.

Insiders speculated that two of Marvel’s first families would debut as part of the Season 1 launch, with the other two coming sometime later in the season.
Other goodies that players can look forward to include new maps (some of which have apparently been leaked) and many skins to earn. Competitors‘ new premium Battle Pass or buy à la carte from the in-game store.
Fans should know that the release of Season 1 will reset all players’ Chrono Token wallets when the new Battle Pass is released.
This is normal for ongoing games as these Battle Pass currencies rarely transfer between seasons. Fans trying to maximize the value of their Season Rewards should use their remaining Chrono Tokens before Season 1 debuts.
