A west London curry house has been named restaurant of the year for 2024. The award was presented to the Ealing restaurant at the Bangladesh Caterers Association (BCA).
Sundarban, on Sudbury Heights Avenue, in Southall, won the award at the ceremony and was one of 14 regional restaurants honored at the ceremony. The restaurant is known for its vegetarian dishes but serves all kinds of Indian food from all over the country.
Abdul Rouf from Sundarban said: “We are delighted to be recognized by the Bangladesh Caterers Association and are so proud to have won this award against some of the region’s biggest curry houses.”
Another reviewer talked about how long they have been coming to Sundarban. They wrote: “This is the best curry house. I love the food and the service, they are both top notch. My favorite restaurant of all. I have been going for over years and I highly recommend it.”
The awards were presented by former CBBC presenter Angellica Bell and Talk TV’s Ian Collins with congratulations from King Charles III, with Angellica also reading a letter from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
