Christine, as patriarch Kody Brown’s third wife, has been vocal an unfair dynamic between the four wives. Before his introduction to the big family, Kody was married to Meri and Janelle Brown. Robyn Brown, the fourth wife, was the latest addition. In particular, Kody and Robyn’s marriage, unlike the others, is not only “spiritual“marriage, but legally binding.
When Robyn was introduced, the prejudices within the family became more apparent. As Kody devoted more time and energy to his fourth wife, others felt that their and their children’s relationship with Kody was neglected. Christine was the first to leave Kody in 2021 when Meri and Janelle decided to divorce the patriarch in the following years. Although Christine seems to be happier than ever with her new partner, his relationship seems just as unhealthy.

Christine met David Woolley, her current husband, in February 2023. Two months into dating, in April 2023, David proposed to the reality TV star. Six months later, the couple were married. Christine was with her ex-husband Kody Brown for over 25 years before the final divorce. While the two are clearly sure about each other, the mother-of-six has undeniably jumped into a whirlwind romance with her new man.
While Christine is undoubtedly much more content, unfortunately her resentment towards her ex has been on display throughout this romance.
Although she seems to have a clear vision of her future, a two-year break from dating hasn’t changed her attitude towards Kody. From relationship posts to the program’s subtle jobs Christine has done everything she can to prove to Kody that she is happier without him. In a post published in September 2024 Christine‘s Instagram, she shared a collage of herself and David with a caption “Every day I’m reminded that love really can be better than I ever imagined.” While Christine is undoubtedly much more content, unfortunately her resentment towards her ex has been on display throughout this romance.

Christine’s children were nervous
Christine’s children have expressed concern about the relationship. In May 2023, Christine’s son Paedon Brown questioned their rapid development, stating that the couple did not receive his blessing. His daughter Ysabel Brown also pointed out her concerns. To avoid upsetting his mother, Paedon offered: “Mom, just because we acknowledge it’s going fast, doesn’t mean we’re telling you it’s bad. We’re just being observant.” While the family was overjoyed to see their mother meet her match, her extensive trauma with Kody and her teenage birth with David raised red flags.
Christine lets her resentment affect the marriage ceremony
Christine is not ready to move on
In the October 2024 episode, when Christine and David were planning their wedding, Christine revealed that several people would not be invited to the ceremony. The unwanted party included Kody, Robyn and Meri.
Christine shared,
“We’re inviting Janelle to our wedding, Janelle’s kids… ‘I’m not ready to be with Meri, Robyn and Kody yet.’
The drama of polygamy had invaded Christine and David’s wedding. While Christine’s ultimate goal may have been to get ahead, it seems her past involvements have stuck in her mind.
