Welcome to Plathville star Moriah Plath introduced her boyfriend Matthew Craven in season 6, and despite his troubled nature, he was able to appear in season 7. Welcome to Plathville viewers met Moriah when he was just 16 years old in the season. It was revealed that Moriah and Matthew started dating earlier Welcome to Plathville season 5, when Moriah lived with her brother Ethan Plath, her now ex-wife Olivia, and Olivia’s brother Nathan Megg. According to Ethan Matthew made Moria blind him and leave their house together without notice and behind the rent. It strained Ethan’s relationship with Moria after that.
When Plath’s family got together for Moriah’s recording visits, they talked about how Matthew was allegedly a toxic person who would isolate and gaslight Moriah and not treat her with the respect she deserved. The patriarch Barry Plath said that he had met Matthew before, and he had beguiled and bewitched, calling him “master manipulator”. It had also exploded that Matthew was in a relationship with another woman with whom he had a child.
