Not only is Mark one of Joan’s favorite men, he received her final rose at the most recent rose ceremony, narrowly avoiding elimination. Even though Mark was a fan favorite even before the season started, he can’t seem to win Joan’s heart.
The producers have not shown enough signs
He needs more screen time
During the premiere The Golden Bachelor in season 1, Kelsey stepped out of the limo on the first night alongside her father and introduced him to Joan. When Mark stepped out of the limoJoan beamed and expressed genuine excitement at meeting the tall, handsome widow. Although Joan seemed excited to meet Mark, she didn’t get nearly enough screen time. It’s disappointing because there were high expectations for a possible relationship.

He never wanted to be on TV
Before you joined the cast The Golden Bachelor season 1, Mark lived a quiet life in relative obscurity, which he thought was great.
