If you want the latest and greatest technology, you have to pay top dollar for it. But not always. Until 8th October, Currys is offering a 10 per cent discount on select LG OLED, QNED and NanoCell TVs released in 2024, and that’s in addition to any sales already ongoing. That means you can get the best, cutting-edge TVs at a sizeable discount.

But that’s not all. Currys is also offering 50 per cent off certain soundbars when bought with an LG TV, so you can enjoy next-gen sound along with the market-leading visuals.

Let’s see what’s on offer.

LG G4: the high end soars higher

The LG G4 is one of the best TVs we’ve seen in 2024 – this five-star model combines a heatsink with Brightness Booster Max and Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology to provide a searingly bright picture. Add in the inky blacks typical to OLED screens, and you have a contrast ratio that’s off the chart, meaning tons of detail in both the lightest and darkest parts of the picture (and everywhere in between).

The powerful Alpha 11 processor means it runs its webOS operating system smoothly, and operates apps like Freeview Play, Netflix and Disney+ super quickly. The G4 is something of a design statement even when switched off, with its One Wall Design combining ultra-thin bezels with a flush fit wall mount and super-slim design. It’s the only high-end TV you’ll ever need.

LG C4: the mid-range marvel

The C4 is another five-star TV, and the follow-up to the Award-winning C3. LG’s C-series TVs have long been among the best mid-range models on offer, and the C4 is another proud entrant into that illustrious list.

Like the G4, it’s an OLED model, whose self-lit pixels provide stunning contrast, 100 per cent colour accuracy and pixel-perfect details for the ultimate viewing experience. It doesn’t go quite as bright as the G4, but has the advanced Alpha 9 processor to deliver AI Super Upscaling to improve picture and sound quality.

The smart webOS platform is onboard, with the same exhaustive suite of apps, hands-free controls and screen mirroring from your smartphone. LG’s Magic Remote is among the best you’ll find, and LG guarantees five years of software updates, ensuring your TV is future-proofed.

It comes in a wider range of sizes than the G4, with the 42- and 48-inch models proving excellent options for smaller rooms. And its gaming specs are peerless, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR and ALLM all present and correct.

Add Dolby Vision HDR and Filmmaker Mode, as well as Dolby Atmos 3D audio, and you’ve got a mid-range TV that punches well above its weight, providing cinema-style visuals and audio right in your lounge.

QNED: a richer palette

LG’s QNED TVs are a slight step down from its OLED offerings, and are priced appropriately. With Mini LED technology as well as NanoCell tech, they offer richer, more accurate colours at different viewing angles. They’re also excellent for gaming, with 120Hz refresh rates and variable refresh rate (VRR) tech meaning less blur – handy during frantic games, as well as sports matches and action films.

LG’s QNED models also offer intelligent processors for optimising the picture and sound quality, and the same smart webOS platform with all the apps you would expect. And their design? It’s sophisticated and super slim for blending in with your interior decor.

NanoCell: pure as the driven snow

LG’s NanoCell TVs provide pure colours and an ultra-sharp 4K Ultra HD picture. A smart processor provides 4K upscaling, to ensure that content from lesser sources still looks its best. They have the same webOS smart platform that comes loaded with all the apps you could want (Freeview Play, Netflix, Disney+ and more) along with the same effortless usability and comprehensive feature set.

These NanoCell TVs have stylish designs too, helping them blend into your living space. And with Filmmaker Mode working in tandem with HDR, you’ll get a truly immersive cinema experience that’s rarely seen outside the multiplex. The 86-inch model also offers smoother motion and advanced gaming, for the ultimate big-screen experience in the home.
