Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Neapolitan pizza brand Pizza Pilgrims has signed on for its newest site at 219 King’s Road.
Pizza Pilgrims will open the prominent 2,200 square meter space in mid-November, offering visitors a Capri-inspired experience. Acting as a central gateway to the Sloane Stanley Estate, Pizza Pilgrims offers up to 80 covers both indoors and outdoors and an intimate basement dining room that can transform into a ‘Cinema Paradiso’, providing an experiential element to the Chelsea community. and after that.
Designed to take consumers on an hour-long trip to Capri, the Chelsea site emulates 1950s Italian La Dolce Vita, bringing fun and nostalgia to the King’s Road. Pizza Pilgrim’s unique design adds to the critical mass of Sloane Stanley’s independent restaurants, such as the recently opened Alley Cats, Dez Amore and Josephine, and the launch of Fantomas in the coming weeks.
Thom Elliot, co-founder of Pizza Pilgrims, said: “We’re really excited to be opening on such an iconic street in London. We fell in love with the site when we first laid eyes on it – and as always, we’re excited to bring something a little different to the Pizza Pilgrims experience with a unique, Capri-inspired design and a fun cinema downstairs. Our dad used to have a pub on King’s Rd many moons ago – so it’s always been a special place for us! See you soon Chelsea.”
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, added: “219 King’s Road is one of our most prominent units on the Estate and therefore needed an operator to deliver a real ‘wow’ factor. Pizza Pilgrims are experts in creating spaces that offer high quality food and a lively atmosphere. We are thrilled seeing that vision of Capri come alive on the King’s Road.”
Pizza Pilgrims joins a number of retailers and operators on King’s Road and Fulham Road, as well as luxury fitness centre, Third Space, which has recently signed a new location as the brand continues to expand in the capital.
