Seasoned, the venue management and event catering specialists, has signed a three-year contract at the Royal College of Nursing’s headquarters at 20 Cavendish Square, just off Oxford Street. The contract covers internal hospitality for 360 RCN staff, tenants and members from across the UK who regularly attend meetings and events, external hospitality for commercial clients from a range of other sectors and the library and heritage center cafe.
Steeped in history, this fine Grade II listed townhouse boasts 14 versatile event spaces, combining beautiful Georgian architecture and contemporary design with state-of-the-art facilities, catering services and audiovisual technology. The venue can host everything from workshops and seminars to large conferences, events and drinks receptions for up to 200 guests. The Seasoned culinary team, supported by dietitian and registered dietitian Helen Phadnis, present a brand new range of well-balanced, nutritious hospitality menus to help boost delegate energy and engagement. All menus are prepared from scratch in the on-site kitchens using the best locally sourced, healthy seasonal ingredients, providing unparalleled and professional service to RCN staff, members, clients and visitors.
Seasoned is also collaborating with one of its existing partners, social entrepreneur and founder of NEMI teas, Pranav Chopra, to create an innovative new cafe solution at 20 Cavendish Square that encapsulates and honors RCN’s core values. Together, the team will open another ‘Trampoline’ social enterprise cafe which will ‘inspire others to higher heights’ and act as a springboard to create social impact through employment and training opportunities.
Chopra founded the original Trampoline cafe in Angel’s Camden Passage to help London’s refugee community integrate, educate and become independent citizens. Built on the values of looking ahead, compassion and believing in the better, the cafe is a genuine force for good, building and maintaining relationships that change lives. He said; “We are excited to partner with Seasoned and RCN as it is a significant milestone in our journey to expand the social enterprise cafe model since the establishment of our first Trampoline Cafe in Angel. The shared ethos of all three organizations is setting the stage for what I believe will be huge success, benefiting both our clients and our efforts to provide hospitality training and employment opportunities to a greater number of refugees.
Created by Trampoline resident chef Yogeswaran ‘Yogi’ Sivakolundu, the delicious new cafe menu will be filled with a unique mix of global influences including British, Indian and Sri Lankan flavours, offering something truly unique to the local W1 neighbourhood. Operating under the Seasoned management team and the Trampoline brand, the Library and Heritage Center’s new cafe promises to bring a bright, bold, friendly and optimistic atmosphere to the beautiful corner of Cavendish Square.
Charles Beer, Senior Partner at Seasoned, said: “We are honored to be partnering with the Royal College of Nursing as it underlines our dedication and desire to work with like-minded organizations to create outstanding relationships that deliver considerate culinary excellence and positive social impact. We are also really excited to further develop our partnership with Pranav and Chef Yogi, a truly inspirational social enterprise beneficiary. We all share a passion for what we do and look forward to spreading our ‘social goodness’ together by providing meaningful work and education to economic migrants and refugees in the new” Trampoline” cafe. This new partnership aligns perfectly with the social values that are important to both Seasoned and RCN, making it a natural fit.”
Andy Cowan, Business Director of the Royal College of Nursing added: “Following a robust and extensive procurement process, we are delighted to be partnering with Seasoned to provide hospitality services at our 20 Cavendish Square site. Their flexible approach and delicious food offerings bring real added value to our clients’ meetings and events. Trampoline is an exciting cafe concept and philanthropist that works with refugee communities to support integration and independence. We hope this will attract new customers to our building and bring an exciting lunchtime food offering and cafe to the W1 area.
