Amazon has reduced the price of The Ninja Foodi MAX Pro Health Grill and Air Fryer to the lowest price in a sale. The kitchen gadget, which normally costs £249, is now just £199 – 20 per cent off on Amazon.

Ninja and John Lewis also have sales on their site, but 99p more expensive at £199.99. Meanwhile, Currys is selling it for £199. The Ninja Foodi Max Pro is not just a deep fryer – it also has a grill on it and uses seven cooking functions for your food.

It even has a digital food probe that keeps an eye on your food’s temperature and lets you know when it’s done. And with a large grill plate that holds up to six hamburgers, it’s perfect for family meals.

Unlike the regular one (which costs £179 in the sale), the Pro has two interchangeable grill plates: the Powered Grill Plate is your traditional type of grill, used for steaks and halloumi skewers, while the Flat Plate is used for grilling and roasting, for cuts like seafood and fajitas.

At 2470 watts it costs the same to run as the Ninja Foodi Max, which is 72p per hour according to calculator sust-it. Customers love the Ninja Foodi Max Pro, which gets 4.6 out of 469 reviews on Amazon, 4.7 out of 450 reviews on John Lewis, 4.5 out of 2367 reviews on Currys and 4.6 out of 415 reviews on Ninja.

A happy customer said: “I was a little skeptical after buying this because I read some other reviews elsewhere online. But it seems they don’t use it correctly. I made steak and cheese baguettes first from the recipe Book that comes with the device and the steaks were perfectly cooked, the end result was so good, one of the nicest steaks I’ve had in a while. I then baked the brownies to try a different setting, again super easy and super tasty. This is really a great buy and much more more energy efficient than your oven/hob.” reports Wales Online.

Another fan said they don’t even need their oven anymore: “I was very confused which Ninja to buy. I wanted something to replace my energy-guzzling oven. I think this is the one for me. Lots of features, I I have used them all successfully and I’ve even baked a cake and made yorkshire puddings! Small baking trays are fine. I used my yorkie pud 4 tray no problem but that’s the limit. Small sandwich tart tins fit a kl. It’s big but works well under my cabinet, it doesn’t generate much steam or food smell.

A third person was really happy, saying: “The Ninja Foodi MAX PRO Health Grill has once again exceeded my expectations and cemented its status as an indispensable kitchen companion. As the proud owner of three Ninja machines, this latest addition has become the undisputed champion for cooking perfect steaks and much more… In conclusion, the Ninja has seamlessly integrated into my kitchen routine and taken my cooking endeavors to new heights. As a devoted Ninja enthusiast, I can confidently say that this latest addition lives up to the brand’s reputation for excellence. If you are a steak lover or anyone who appreciates culinary versatility, the Ninja Health Grill is a worthy investment.”

One less happy person wrote: “Not blown away by it but does what it says, the preheat for most functions is an energy and time waster. Parts are easy to clean but not the lid…which will never be clean again without some hard chemical attack it!” Another said: “It’s a great little cooker and I love the hotplate and airfryer basket. I have to mark it down because you can’t put joints of meat in here of any size, certainly not a whole chicken bigger than a pigeon. I had to roll out a pork tenderloin & bone out & flatten a lamb skin. The pre-set cooking with the probe is excellent. To be fair I would have given this cooker 5+ stars if this cooker had taken decent sized cuts of meat.”

Elsewhere, those looking to save even more can look at Cookwise’s 9 liter Dual Air Fryer, which is currently £119.99 (down from £199). Unlike Ninja’s Foodi Max’s six cooking settings – Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate – this one has nine, including fish, chips, bacon, bake, chicken legs, steak, vegetables, shrimp, to chicken. This makes them less specific but gives you an intuitive idea of how long to cook things, so if you just want to use it for air frying, it might be the right choice.

The Ninja Foodi MAX Pro Health Grill and Air Fryer is available from Amazon (£199), Ninja (£199.99), John Lewis (£199.99) and Currys (£199).
