Young’s Pubs continues to expand its pubs with the opening of a new site, the Teller’s Arms, in October.

The Teller’s Arms, a former old bank in the heart of Farnham, Surrey, has been extensively refurbished to become a lively 168-seat pub. The newly renovated venue features nine boutique bedrooms, an all-day dining area, a bar, a spacious rooftop terrace and dedicated meeting and event spaces. Guests can enjoy an all-day menu created by Chef Ryan Patterson, highlighting the finest seasonal British produce, alongside local craft and draft beers.

The design of the Teller’s Arms, led by Harrison, draws inspiration from the building’s rich history while respecting its heritage. Original details such as fireplaces and the iconic Teller clock have been retained. The space features elegant finishes such as wooden herringbone flooring, Victorian tiling and chandeliers, all of which blend harmoniously with the vibrant interiors and contemporary decor. By the spring of 2025, a retractable roof will be installed on the roof terrace, which enables outdoor dining regardless of the weather.

The Teller’s Arms is ideally located for both business and weekend getaways, with nine individually designed bedrooms. Each room reflects the charm of the surrounding area, including Farnham’s Bishop Meadow, with decor and furnishings sourced from local suppliers to support nearby businesses.

Simon Dodd, Managing Director of Young & Co.’s Brewery PLC, said: “We are delighted to open the Teller’s Arms in the heart of Farnham and bring a new pub offering to the high street. In line with our ongoing strategy to celebrate venues with heritage, the new pub offers a premium experience that combines the history of the area with the charm of a country pub. We look forward to welcoming guests from near and far.”

Close to Farnham station and just an hour from London by train, the Teller’s Arms aims to be a popular destination for locals, townspeople and tourists alike. Young’s currently has 42 premium pubs under its Young’s Room brand, with rooms across London and the South of England, complementing its wider range of pubs.
