A woman has shared the moment she decided to be bold and write a flirty note to a flight attendant
A woman has shared the moment she boldly penned a flirty note to a flight attendant she fancied.
There’s nothing quite like going after what you want, and if you get rejected, who cares?
No one else needs to know, and at least you’ve taken your shot and tried to catch the eye of someone you found attractive rather than endlessly swiping on dating apps until your thumb aches.
That’s precisely what one woman did when she thought her “flight attendant was hot,” and something remarkable happened. She shared her romantic encounter on Instagram, where it attracted over one million likes and nearly 11,000 comments.
On the plane, Alycia Viola “rang the bell and asked for a (glass of) champagne,” which the handsome flight attendant delivered with utmost professionalism. However, she then passed him a note, ensuring to indicate that he needed to open it so he didn’t mistake the napkin for rubbish and discard it, as that would have thwarted her plans, reports the Mirror.
Alycia quipped that she required “liquid courage” to pose a question to the flight attendant, which was ‘Will you get drinks with me after the flight?’, with yes written on one side of the napkin, and no on the other.
Gathering her nerves, she sent him away with the napkin, and he discreetly returned it just minutes later.
Lo and behold, when he returned it to her, he’d circled yes, and the two ended up going for a drink later that evening, with her captioning the video “success”.
“I can’t believe it’s been two years since I posted this viral moment with my now fiancé,” she wrote in the caption, demonstrating that sometimes it’s worth being bold.
In the comments section, others recounted their own meet-cute stories, with one sharing: “Was on a flight to Bali for a weekend with my friends, and the guy sat next to me chatted me up.
“He called and asked me out for dinner the next night, then a week later called me when I was back in Jakarta and asked if I would like to meet him again. That was in 2008. We’re now 18 years together and married for 14 years.”
Another person shared her aunt’s tale, writing: “Awww this warms my heart. My aunt met her husband that way, too.
“She used to fly for Emirates, and he was on a business flight. They started talking, and she was playing hard to get. So he gave her his number, hoping she would call or text. Unfortunately, she lost it during her layover.
“But he kept flying Emirates, hoping to bump into her again – AND HE DID! He was a bit bummed at first because he thought she wasn’t interested in him, even though they were really hitting it off on the flight they met.
“They exchanged numbers again, this time both ways to be safe. Fast forward to today: they have been married since 2008 and have two beautiful children.”
