Police are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area
The Met Police have launched a murder probe after a woman was found dead at a house in Hounslow.
The 71-year-old, who’s yet to be named, was found at the house on Sunday (March 1).
Police and paramedics were called around 10am and, despite their best efforts, she died at the scenes from serious injuries.
Her next of kin have been found and the Met’s specialist officers are looking after them.
There’s still a crime scene in place and patrols in the area will continue. However, no arrests have been made.
DCI Matthew Denby, leading the investigation, said: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life.
“We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and we are keeping an open mind to pursue all lines of inquiry.
“We urge anyone who was in the area of Bath Road, who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to come forward.
“Even small pieces of information can prove vital.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference CAD2395/01Mar, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
