Wine company Echo Falls has launched a limited-edition bottle with a football slogan to help newcomers prepare for Sunday’s Super Bowl. The biggest sporting event on the American calendar will see thousands of extra fans tune in according to experts – thanks to Taylor Swift.

Since Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce started dating, American football viewership records have been broken. Earlier in the season, NBC reported two million additional viewers for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nielsen reported a 37% increase in women watching American football. Kelce jerseys also saw a 400% increase in sales while the player gained half a million new followers on Instagram.

Ahead of Sunday, wine company Echo Falls Fruits has gone the extra mile to help new fans in the UK embrace the game. The company has released a limited edition of Echo Falls Summer Berries bottles with their regular labels swapped out for ones that reveal must-know American Football phrases for novice fans.

This is the first time Echo Falls Fruits has changed the label for their Summer Berries bottle for this event. An Echo Falls spokesperson said: “The Taylor effect has driven a whole new audience of female soccer fans in the US and around the world – including the UK.

“It’s a complicated game at the best of times and with social media alight with brilliant memes and American football hacks, we wanted to cater to this new audience on Sunday with our buzzword bottles of wine. With thousands of Brits gathering for food and drink for the big game – many of whom are new fans – knowing your ‘Tight End’ from your ‘Touchdown’ will certainly come in handy.”

The limited edition Echo Falls Summer Berries bottles feature four different American football buzzwords including Tight End, Kickoff, Blitz and Touchdown. Beginner American football fans can also head over to Echo Falls’ Instagram for full explanations of each phrase.
