However, immigration lawyers revealed that the process could take three to four years, which was not ideal. David was told that he was applying for a K-1 visa was easier and the process only took two years.
David and Sheila were visibly disappointed with the 24 month wait. However, they did not give up hope and decided to support each other from afar while waiting for the process to end.
