Topher Grace’s Eric Forman is conspicuously absent from the new installment That 90s show episodes.
season 2 / That 90s show is here! The new episode of the Netflix sitcom (it’s a sequel to Beloved That 70s show which aired on Fox from 1998 to 2006) sees Season 1’s fresh crop of Teens return to Kitty and Red’s basement in Point Place for more rumours.
Eric Forman, played by Topher Grace, was ostensibly the main character That 70s show. Viewers watched her grow up, avoid curfew, and find love with Donna for nearly all eight seasons (Grace left the series before the final season began, but returned in the final minutes of the finale).

Where is eric on that 90s show?
Latest Netflix episodes That 90s show hit the streamer on Thursday, June 28th. And while Laura Prepon returned as Donna Pinciotti in a guest-starring role in Part 2, her character’s husband, Topher Grace’s Eric Forman, doesn’t appear in any of the sitcom’s new chapters.
Back That 90s showThe first season from 2023, Grace co-starred as Eric in the premiere. Netflix has not offered an official reason for his absence from the second season.
It is worth noting that Topher Grace’s second television commitment, Domestic science, in which he starred for three seasons, was canceled last September. This led some fans to believe that his schedule would be free enough to visit That 90s show.
Apparently that wasn’t the case. There’s also the possibility that Grace simply wasn’t interested in reprising the character.
As for upcoming projects, Topher Grace’s new movie Huntington production started in June. This exact start date makes it almost impossible that his work on the film was prevented by a That 90s show cameo if not prep work Huntington was somehow done on the set of the Netflix comedy last fall.
Of course, only half That 90s showA second season has been released, so Grace could always make Eric Forman’s return in the latter episodes. Season 2B arrives on October 24th.

Currently, Laura Prepon is not the only one That 70s show the actor will return for the second season of the sequel. Iconic Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith return as Kitty and Red Forman as series regulars That 90s show.
Additionally, Don Stark’s Bob Pinciotti, Donna’s father, will be featured in the second season, as will Tommy Chong’s neighborhood stoner Leo and Seth Green’s Mitch, Eric’s one-time rival.
Unfortunately for longtime fans, however, Wilmer Valderrama, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher will not be present in the newly debuted episodes, despite all three appearing in Season 1.
Danny Masterson, who played Hyde during That 70s show‘s entire season, is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for multiple rapes.
That 90s show Episodes 1 and 2 are now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
