He invited to work on the series “a dream come true” when she combined her love of acting, singing and dancing:

Jayden had an audition for Wild Dead Boys Detectives

According to Jayden Revri, he went through a wild audition process to land the role on Netflix Dead Boy Detectives series.

He elaborated on what went into booking the DC live show, telling Collider that he never planned on participating in the series himself:

“I was actually away filming another Netflix series called ‘Fate: The Winx Saga.’ All my colleagues were auditioning for that show, but I was actually auditioning for something completely different at the time. When they said, ‘Jayden, can you come help me read for this role?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, sure.'”

He did, however, read a couple of scenes for his friends’ auditions “went to call (his) agent:”

“But when I got to reading the character, I was like, ‘Who is this character? What is this project?” I went to call my agent and I clicked his name on my phone, and as I was about to hang up, he started calling me, “That’s so weird.” And he said to me, “Look, we’re going to stop this audition because you is auditioning for ‘Dead Boy Detectives’ to play Charles.”

He laughed because as he was “literally I call (her agent)” they called him:

“And I was like, ‘That’s so crazy, I was literally going to call you and ask if I could be in this role.’ So I auditioned and within a couple of days I was reading chemistry with different Edwins and Crystals. And then I was cast probably two weeks later , in June or July 2021.

The process accelerated quickly, getting cast and reading chemistry with several other actors.

He remembered reading one scene with each other Kassius Nelson and George Rextraw where they nailed it for the first time. After the reading, pilot director Lee Kreiger told the young stars: “Let’s put it on display:”

“It was great for me because then I got to read chemistry with different Edwins and Crystals, and I just remember me, George and Kassius (Nelson) reading with each other. Lee Krieger, our wonderful pilot director, just said, ‘Let’s put it on the show.'” The rest is history. “
