Imad’s Syrian Kitchen is running a supper club series, Imad & Friends, and the next people to join him in the restaurant are with filmmaker and activist Hassan Akkad and fellow Syrian refugee Dima Aktaa, who became known for her campaign to walk a mile near her home in Bedfordshire as she recovered from a bomb strike that saw her lose her leg. As well as plenty of conversation, Imad has created a menu featuring both new and classic Syrian dishes, including grilled lamb skewers and stuffed pita breads, which’ll be served alongside Syrian cocktails, Lebanese wine and beer. Tickets cost £85 and all proceeds from the event will go to Choose Love.
