Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s (Sonic 3) first trailer reportedly has a release date as fans wait to see when it debuts online.
Behind the efforts of Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, and Jim Carrey, the supersonic blue hedgehog’s first two films are enjoying solid showings in theaters. Although the first film was released weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic, both grossed over $700 million worldwide.
Although the third film in the trilogy is set to arrive before the end of the year, its marketing tour has yet to properly begin. Apart from a promo photo released from the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas in May, there is little public information about this new trilogy.

When is the Sonic 3 trailer coming out?
Scooper Daniel Richtman reports on his Patreon account that the first trailer Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released on Tuesday, August 27.
Now the big question after this news: What time will the trailer be released that day?
After the visual debacle that was “ugly Sonic” in the film’s first trailer, which premiered in April 2019, an updated trailer featuring Sonic’s new look dropped early this morning a few minutes before 6 a.m. ET.
After the first trailer for the second film premiered at the 2021 Game Awards, the second trailer for the film and the first Knuckles trailer arrived at 9am ET.

Also of note, Paramount released a teaser for the second one Sonic 2 trailer a day before its release at 12:00 PM ET, which featured a sped-up version of the new trailer.
Given the history, when Sonic trailers have been released over the years, which is the best option when Sonic 3 the trailer premieres August 27 at 9 a.m. ET.
Although 12pm ET is possible because Sonic 2 trailer teaser, the first look is the only case where a trailer has been released at that time.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 hits theaters on December 20th.
