Below decks Viewers have been waiting over a year for the second season of the show’s Australian iteration, and I haveI’m looking forward to seeing some exciting things when it’s finally released. As one of the currently presented Below decks spin-offs, Below decks has been one of the franchise’s most anticipated returns. Led by Aussie Captain Jason Chambers, Below decks season 2 has been hailed as one of the best seasons in franchise history. The crew, drama and locations created a perfect storm a Below decks season.

Although Below decks has been on hiatus for over a year, many are still thinking about last season’s big drama. Although not necessarily the most positive, the leadership shown by Captain Jason and his Chief Stew at the time, Aesha Scott, was impeccable and led to serious discussions about the safety of the superyacht. With Captain Jason confirming that last season’s drama has forced the series to adopt new policies and procedures, Below decks Viewers are eagerly waiting to see what the series will be like in its next season.

After Below decks season 2 Luke Jones’ sexual misconduct scandal, which led to his termination from the luxury superyacht, aired on the show, viewers began to take the show a little more seriously. I appreciated how Captain Jason and Aesha handled the situation and I enjoyed that it wasn’t glossed over in the show itself. Although I don’t think I see anything that alarming Below decks season 3, I hope the drama is compelling, the crew is capable, and Captain Jason is there to steer the ship and carry drama.

Captain Jason Chambers must join the new crew

The captain has a unique ability to create a new culture

Although in past seasons Under the deck, below, Captain Jason had a certain group of crew members that he worked closely with. He is in a unique position in the next season of the series. As the captain of a superyacht Jason knows it’s essential to maintain a close bond with his crew without getting too close for convenience. Although Jason is used to allowing department heads to bond with the crew, he can make changes to the way his team is managed from the inside out.

A new crew will join Below decks in Season 3, and especially without original Chief Stew Aesha, Jason is able to form new relationships with the sailboats he works with. Although Jason may not get along with everyone, he is able to judge who he can build relationships with quickly and understand who he can work with to move forward. I hope to see even more of Captain Jason Below decks season 3so closer relationships with the crew would make it more likely.

The BDDU crew must find a new career without Aesha Scott

The crew is supposed to be mostly new yachtsmen

Although the majority Below decks season 3 crew are rumored to be new yachties, hopefully the superyacht will have a few familiar faces to start the new season. Although there seem to be two actors confirmed besides the captain Jason to return, most of the cast are fresh faces, which we as viewers will have to make our own judgments about as the season progresses. Deckhand Harry van Vliet and Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph will likely come back for another charter season.

While there will be a mix of new and returning yachts, crews have the opportunity to bond as much as anyone Below decks the crews have. Although there will probably be some bumps in the road, you’ll see actors who can enjoy each other and contribute to the drama is always interesting. Without Aesha, who is usually the glue that holds yacht crews together, it will be interesting to see what happens Below decks season 3

The drama under the hood needs to stay high

The series thrives on high drama

Although I’m not necessarily interested in seeing the same type of drama as last season Under the deck, below, I I would like to see the drama level stay high in the series. Below decks franchises stall when there’s no drama in the crew, so keeping the drama level high is essential. Whether it’s crew members getting along, issues with charter guests, boat trips, or a combination of all three, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Captain Jason and the new crew.
