Timmy Turner, who carries the series, was clearly missing Fairly OddParents: A new wishbut there may be some reason behind his absence.

For nearly a decade on Nickelodeon, young Timmy Turner dazzled audiences with his adventures with his colorful wish-granting fairy godmothers, Cosmo and Wanda.

Now, after a gap of more than seven years, OddParents franchise is back for its first season earlier this year, now streaming on Netflix. This time, the show focuses on a young girl named Hazel Wells, who, just like Timmy, becomes possessed by two magical fairy friends.

With publication Fairly OddParents: A New Wishfans have noticed thanks to the absence of Timmy Turner, the series’ original protagonist.

Timmy Turner (voiced by: Log star Tara Strong) cannot be found in any of the sequels.

Instead, the show focuses on an entirely new hero named Hazel Well, a young girl growing up in the town of Dimmadelphia.

Even though Timmy doesn’t show up, oddly enough, his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda come out of retirement to make sure Hazel gets everything she wishes for.

Some had speculated that Timmy would be part of the series, thanks to the quirky art of the adult character that looked suspiciously like what a possible adult version of Timmy would look like, but that was not the case.

Instead, this character would become known as Not Timmy Turner, a clear reference to the previous hero of the series, who takes on variousmarring-assignments around the city.

Speaking with ComicBook at the time of the series’ launch, executive producer Lindsay Katai revealed that “Timmy’s Still Around” he just doesn’t appear in the series:

“It’s not Timmy, it’s not Timmy. Timmy is still there. This is a visual of one of the first episodes where Timmy wanted to grow up, and this is what he ended up looking like. I know a lot of fans are very engaged with the end of Channel Chasers, and I think our show doesn’t make up for that at all because Cosmo and Wanda took a 10,000 year vacation in space and time, they still have future godchildren, they could be Timmy’s children, who knows?”

Katai went on to confirm for fans wondering if Timmy will eventually make an appearance in the new series, saying: “No, you (don’t see Timmy:)”

“We didn’t want to make people wait, are we going to see Timmy? Are we not going to see Timmy? Because the fact is, no, you’re not, so we don’t want to tease this thing that you” We won’t be seeing him in the future if we get ordered for more episodes, but we wanted to focus on Hazel Ashleigh (Crystal Hairston) records her in the room, and she does such an incredible job in both the writer‘s room and the sound booth.”

Fans have been particularly upset by his absence, as the character never received any kind of resolution Pretty OddParents series.

Timmy’s final adventure with Wanda and Cosmo ended like all the other episodes, so it wouldn’t stand out from the previous installments of the series, instead of completing his arc or tying up the loose ends of the narrative.

Closest fans ended up with Timmy’s story in a made-for-TV movie Rather Odd Parents : Timmy’s Last Wish.

It explored why Timmy never aged in the most successful animated series and revealed that he never wanted to grow up because he knew it would mean saying goodbye to Cosmo and Wanda.

After trying to circumvent the far-fetched plan with another wish to age 50 years at once, thanks to the discovery of The Fairy Council, Timmy promises to return to normal life with Cosmo and Wanda.

Although it is assumed that Timmy ages and eventually says goodbye to his godparents, Last wish the film is left ambiguous for viewers, leaving his future outside of the series uncertain.

It is unclear why exactly Timmy Turner has not been seen in the series thus far. Some have speculated that it could be due to the recent controversy centered around Timmy Turner’s voice actress Tara Strong.

However, these claims have been unsubstantiated and likely did not influence the decision to drop the character.

However, it must be remembered in more episodes Fairly OddParents: A New Wish there’s always the chance that Timmy Turner will return at some point along the way.
