From Margot Sisson Below decks had a memorable Season 2, and it’s time for an update on him. Margot was introduced to the show during episode 2 when she arrived late for the yacht. He quickly began his work as a third cook under Chief Steward Aesha Scott. Margot got along with everyone soon after arriving and even developed a bit of a flirtation with the Bosun, Luke Jones.
When Margot didn’t show the interest Luke was looking for, as she also has an interest in deckhand Harry Van Vliet, Luke decided to pursue another stew, Laura Bileskaline. They met during a crew night, but Luke quickly realized that he liked Margot more. During the next crew night, Luke and Margot got a little too drunk, and Aesha worried that Luke would try to take advantage of Margot. Aesha immediately put him to bed, but when an unexpected power cut occurred, Luke ran into Margot’s room naked and climbed into her bed. Luckily, the producers were there to prevent anything from going any further.

Shortly after the episode aired on August 7, 2023, Margot shared on Instagram talking about the sexual abuse he experienced. He started his Instagram post by thanking Aesha.
“I would like to start by saying a big thank you (Aesha Scott) and expressing my love for her (…) for the way she recognized the vulnerability of my situation and her courageous intervention (… ) was both heroic and so admirable. I thank the universe for him every day, as well as the producers who stepped in quickly.”
After the episode, Margot has received love from the fans and is so grateful for the support. Luke crossed the line for the first time Below decks according to history, the fourth wall broke and the producers entered. The producers and Aesha kept Margot safe, but the incident had a lasting effect on Margot. Luke and Lara were shot by Captain Jason after Lara defended Luke.

He thanked the production team for the intervention and how people should respect boundaries. Jason has been widely praised for his swift action with Luke, making him a very likable character.

Under the Deck season 2 was problematic

Which does Below decks season 2 so problematic was some inappropriate actors. Luke tried to take advantage of Margot and was clearly eyeing him from the moment they met. He took advantage of the power outage, thinking the cameras had turned off at that moment. Luckily, Margot left the situation unscathed, while Luke was promptly fired by Captain Jason.
Margot continued to drink on the job in Season 2, but Aesha and Captain Jason forgave her when they realized she was dealing with Luke’s trauma.
The situation that happened with Luke was one of the most egregious Below decks history. Below decks season 3 is on the horizon in February 2025, and while it promises a lot of boating, there’s no indication that anything like season 2 will happen. Margot isn’t part of the season 3 cast, but she made a strong impression on the franchise.
