America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders features a host of veterans including an old Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Madeline Salter, who many are interested in after seeing her on the show. Madeline, like some of the other women on the team, is a legacy DCC member who had a parent in the group or organization. While some may assume that old candidates get special treatment in the audition process, it is actually quite the opposite. Being a legacy DCC is a high-pressure situation, and proving yourself can be twice as difficult for those with connections.

Madeline, who was in her third year as DCC during America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, was one of the few legacies of the team that the documentary series focused on. I have been part of the CMT series, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making a Team in the past, Madeline has a long and complicated history with the organization.
