What Happened to Kyle Viljoen from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7?

Kyle Viljoen made quite an impression Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea seasons 7 and 8, but what has stew been up to since then? Before he joined Captain Sandy Yawn and his crewmates in the popular Below decks spin-off, South African native Kyle already had several years of boating experience under his belt. While Kyle’s lovable personality and entertaining theater skills were some of the show’s biggest highlights, Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea seasons 7 and 8 had enough drama, especially among his inner teams in both seasons.

Unfortunately, the viewers called out Kyle Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 7 MVP, shortly after the series returned in July, Kyle’s time as second stew was cut short. Kyle had to deal with injuries on the ship when he sprained his ankle. Although Kyle escaped actual fracture, his damaged ligaments meant he was unable to perform basic duties, and Captain Sandy unfortunately had to relieve him of duty. Despite his surprise exit, Kyle came back Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 7 finale. With the ankle now fully healed, Kyle was able to return for season 8.

Although viewers enjoyed the flirtation between Kyle and guest Frank Fay Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 7, Kyle met Dr. Zachary Riley shortly after filming 2021 and confirmed their relationship in December. Kyle has been happily showcasing his partner and their adventures in New York on Instagram for the past year, and on November 8, Kyle and Zachary announced that they’ve gone from boyfriends to engaged. Kyle proposed to Zachary on South Africa’s Table Mountain and based on the video Kyle Sharing the emotional moment on Instagram, it’s clear that despite her brief flirtation with Frank, Kyle is happier than ever with Zachary.

Although many Below decks stars dedicate their online accounts to sharing sailing photos, such as Natasha, Kyle’s Instagram has described him more as a social media influencer because Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 7 premiere. In addition to releasing Cameo in October, Kyle has been using his newfound fame to work with paid partnerships. Some include New York State’s largest disco event in the world and popular hot sauce brand Tabasco.

Although Below decks personality has been busy traveling and exploring the vibrant city life of NYC and attended BravoCon with his co-stars, Kyle worked as a stew. Kyle continued to perform Deck Med season 8 as a stew led by Tumi Mhlongo. However, he was not asked back Deck Med season 9

What does Kyle have now in 2024?

Although it is possible for Kyle to return Deck Med in season 10, he’s been doing just fine since he left the show last season. According to Kyle’s Instagram he has started a radio called Brave decisions. The show is based in New York and Kyle just started it in July. Kyle was very grateful for the opportunity and the job seems right. Kyle is doing a radio show in town, which means Kyle has officially moved to the US before joining Below Deck Med, Kyle used to live in South Africa, but now he’s living the American dream.

In addition to his busy career Kyle was revealed he is three months sober in his Instagram bio. Kyle didn’t seem like much of a party Deck Medbut he made this conversation decidedly better; it seems to be working because nothing but amazing things have happened to Kyle since then Deck Med season 8. 2024 is shaping up to be Kyle’s best year yet.

Although some Deck Med fans criticized Kyle as lazy Deck Med in season 7, he made a strong impression on viewers Deck Med season 8. While Kyle proved to be easily distracted and willing to push some professional boundaries, Stew’s vibrant personality and unparalleled confidence brought a breath of fresh air to both seasons 7 and 8. As for the future of the show, there’s no official word Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 10 yet, but in the meantime, Bravo fans can keep an eye on Kyle and his upcoming journey to the altar and his career.
