CraziestRed Bull Soapbox Race inventions revealed as UK event returns
Speed freaks are gearing up for the return of Red Bull's famous Soapbox Race where thrillseekers tear down a hill in home-made machines.
The quirky race will see 60 teams battle it out for the top spot, navigating down a street circuit using nothing but momentum.
Red Bull has held over 100 Soapbox races around the world - from Australia to the US and Italy - since the original in Brussels in 2000.
The UK last hosted the event in 2022, where 20,000 spectators were treated to wild designs inspired by the likes of James Bond, Top Gun and, er, a sewing machine.
There are few rules but all karts must have fully functioning brakes and steering and drivers are required to wear helmets and gum shields.
Soapboxes must be powered only by the strength of a push and the gravity of the hill with teams judged on creativity, showmanship and speed.
This year's UK event will take place at London's Alexandra Palace on June 22 and you can enrol to race and by tickets now.
