UK's secret Disney castle' has huge garden with live events - and kids get in free
Disney fans in the UK have been seeking out a special building they claim looks just like a castle from one of their favourite fairy tales.
While not affiliated with the entertainment giant in any way, the similarities between the structure and those created for the Magic Kingdom are pretty obvious.
The building is Strawberry Hill House, found in Twickenham, West London, and is considered to be Britain's "finest example of Georgian Gothic revival architecture".
The property, now Grade-I listed, dates back to 1747 when writer and historian Horace Walpole rebuilt an existing house, adding towers, turrets and battlements.
These days, tours of the gardens and house take place regularly, with plenty to explore, including ornate rooms, stained glass windows and grottos.
It also hosts concerts and performances in its five-acre gardens, with the likes of Shakespeare´s The Comedy of Errors among several shows this summer.
The garden is free to enter, while the house costs £14.50 for adults, with children under 16 getting in for free.
