The Disneyland theme park you've probably never heard of – with ‘better’ rides and unique snacks

There are six Disney resorts around the world - yet one of them isn't actually owned by Disney

While most people know of Disney World in Orlando, Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris, there are three more further afield in Hong Kong, China and Tokyo

And visitors rave about the Tokyo Disney Resort opened in 1983, saying it is better than the US originals

There are actually two parks at the resort, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, which opened later in 2001

Despite this, it isn't actually owned by Disney - it is instead owned by Japanese company, who pay licenses and royalties to Disney

As well as well-known rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain, it has unique attractions across 7 worlds

Day tickets can be as little as 7900 won, or at £41 a fraction of the other Disney theme parks. And visitors say the Japanese food on offer is another huge attraction.
