THE BEST beaches in the world have been revealed - with four destinations in the UK making the cut. Here's a selection of the best from Tripadvisor's awards.
Praia da Falésia near the Portuguese resort of Vilamoura was named the best beach in the world.
In second place was Spiaggia dei Conigli on the tiny Italian island of Lampedusa in the Mediterranean while La Concha Beach on the northern coast of Spain was third.
In the UK, Sandbanks Beach in Poole, Dorset was named the world's most sustainable beach.
Stunning Saundersfoot Beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales took third place in the same category.
Weymouth Beach in Dorset was named as the nineteenth best beach in Europe.
And just an hour's drive away, popular Bournemouth Beach came in at twentieth.
