perfumes you need to bin if you don’t want to smell cheap – including a high street favourite most of us love

An elegance pro has revealed the seven scents you need to ditch if you don’t want people to think you smell cheap.

Amira Bessette listed seven fragrances, including Chanel No 5, claiming some of the scents once "smelt elegant" before a change in their composition made them "superficial and cheap".

She also put a ban on Baccarat Rouge, saying that the "entire Oxford Street smells like it".

Another falling under her cull was Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. Amira stated: "Lots of these brands are not cruelty free and elegant women only use cruelty free products."

Ariana Grande's God Is A Woman and Cloud perfumes also fell foul of Amira's "elegant" smell. However she did rate them as being "clean beauty".

Mugler's Angel Eau de Parfum also failed to make the grade.

Another on the list of perfumes that were "not multifaceted enough" was Delina by Marly.
